What does a membership include?
– 15 Curling sessions, each about 2 and a half hours (approximately 7-10 pm)
– Brooms and all other equipment needed for curling are included
– Members of the club help set up the ice for curling. This typically takes 20 minutes.
– Teams of 4 are randomly generated before each game. If you and a spouse, or friends, want to be on a team then let us know and we can make exceptions. We are also working on developing a mini league for those that want to participate.
– It is completely fine if you cannot make it to all events. You won’t be penalized for missed events and you will not be impacting a team or game.
– Typically after each event we’ll head out to a local North End bar and have some drinks (called broomstacking) with teammates and opponents. It’s tradition for the winning team to buy the first round! Sportsmanship and traditions like these are important foundations of the club.
